A softer surface

Suede

Of all our materials, suede is the one we talk about most. Not because it is fragile, but because it invites care.

The Brume Belted Tote in Chocolate suede

Good suede is not about thickness. It is about drape: how the bag falls, how it moves with you, and whether it still looks refined at the end of a long day.

Our suede is cow suede: real leather with the soft, brushed side facing out. It does not feel dry or spongy. From the first day it feels smooth and warm in the hand, in the colors of the season: chocolate, tabac, noir and bordeaux.

The Brume in suede, carried on a stone wall

You notice it at once. The nap has a velvet softness that makes your fingers linger. Light settles into the surface and shifts when you brush it the other way, which gives suede a depth smooth leather rarely has.

It is a bag for days when you dress a little slower and more thoughtfully. The care you give it shows, and that is part of why it feels so personal.

Living with it

Suede does ask for consideration. It prefers dry days, a soft brush now and then, and room to breathe when you store it. A brush brings the nap back to life after dust or daily friction. If it meets a surprise shower, let it dry on its own: no heat, no rushing. Small habits keep the surface alive.

Softness has its place, even in a fast week.
