The Embellie is a soft tote in Spanish woven cowhide, and it can be worn in two ways. The first is on the shoulder, held by its two slim leather cords. The second is as a backpack, once the cords are drawn up through the side loops.
In Bordeaux, rich as late fruit after an autumn shower.

Run your hand over a good hide and it tells you how it will age. We chose Spanish leather for the way it answers: it softens where your hands return, deepens where the light finds it, and slowly takes on the shape of your days. Real leather, never plastic. A bag that is meant to change with you.
Care is simple. Keep it out of the rain and away from direct sun. If it gets wet, dab it gently with a soft, dry cloth and let it dry at room temperature.

The first bag I ever took apart belonged to my mother. The front still looked new. Inside, the lining had torn where her keys went in every morning, and the strap had worn thin at the exact spot where it met her shoulder. That bag taught me where beauty ends and use begins.
So we design from the inside out. Before a bag gets a name, we look at the places that usually give up first: the zip, the seams, the buckles and the straps. Only when those hold do we let it go. If one of them fails within 12 months, we repair or replace your bag.

Sevine Dumont was founded in 2019, out of a passion that runs in the family. The brand stands for timeless fashion, and against fast fashion. Real leather is one of the most important links in that.

Every Sevine Dumont bag is made of real leather. No plastic, and no coating that peels after one winter. You feel the difference the first time you pick it up: the weight, the grain, the smell.
Smooth leather keeps the natural grain of the hide. It softens as you carry it. Suede is leather brushed to a soft, velvet finish, warm in colour and light in the hand.
Good leather does not stay new. It takes on your days, your hands and your routes. That is the point: a bag you carry for years, not for a season.
Our story, since 2019
Sevine was born and raised in her father's atelier, and she never wanted anything else than fashion. In 2001 she graduated in Paris as a fashion designer and travelled the world to understand fashion in different markets.
Working for other brands, she saw how high the markups were. So she went back to her father's atelier. Together they made her first designs, sold close to home. That was the beginning of Sevine Dumont, in 2019.

More than seven years, growing with care
Since 2019, requests came in faster than we expected, and the team behind Sevine grew quickly. Today Sevine Dumont is an established name in women's leather bags.
Growing does not mean making more of everything. We keep the collection small, so every model gets our full attention. Some bags come as a limited edition. When they are gone, they are gone.
